Marianne Russo

Nellie’s is owned by Marianne Russo, one of a select group of Certified Tea Specialists in the world. A member of the U.S. Tea Association and the Specialty Tea Institute, she has been fortunate to study with the “stars” of the world of tea, such as:… Pearl Dexter of TEA, A Magazine, John Harney, founder of Harney and Sons Fine Teas, Richard Guzauskas, consultant to numerous tea companies, Dan Robertson, owner of The Tea House and World Tea Tours, and so many other fine professionals. Marianne has traveled to China and Japan to learn about the cultures of tea firsthand, and attends several professional industry education conferences annually.

Marianne’s passion for tea began as a young girl growing up in a household with a British father, but her exploration in the world of tea has broadened to focus on the ancient cultures where tea originated almost 5,000 years ago.
